A GUIDE TO CHOOSING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF HAIR

Updated: May 26, 2019

When it comes to hair extensions the amount of hair you will need will be in relation to the amount of volume and length that you already have. Think about the length that you want to achieve and the amount of coverage that you will need to blend the extensions seamlessly.

For example

40g-50g of hair is suitable as a volumiser set. This can add subtle amounts of volume to the sides of the natural hair and can create the illusion of thicker ends and a more even cut. With this amount of hair extensions it is possible to achieve an extra inch or two in length, providing the natural hair is not too thick to begin with.

75g-100g of hair is suitable for those with finer hair who want to add a considerable amount of volume and length and/or for those with medium thick hair who would like to add a subtle amount of volume and length. This would best suit those who already have relatively long hair.

120-150g of hair is suitable for those with medium to thick hair and/or for those who would like to add a considerable amount of length and volume.

160g-200g (Full Head) is suitable for those with thick and short hair and/or for those who would like to add a lot of length and volume.
